Welcome The Autistic Doctor, creator at Much Much Spectrum!

Dr. Ajay's journey is nothing short of remarkable. A seasoned orthodontist, he has worked with passion and dedication for over three decades across Mumbai and Kuwait, treating a staggering 20,000+ patients. Yet, it's his personal discovery after retirement that has been a beacon of hope and encouragement for many.

Having decided to retire in 2020, Dr. Ajay moved to the serene city of Mangalore, envisioning a tranquil retired life. However, fate had another plan. It was during a routine moment, going through the autism assessment documents of his son Aalap, that he stumbled upon a life-altering realization. The striking similarities between his own behaviors and those outlined in his son’s diagnosis led to a profound moment of self-awareness. Might he, too, be autistic?

Aalap, recognizing these parallels, suggested the possibility of an autism assessment for his father. Dr. Ajay, always keen to learn more about himself, agreed. Soon after, he was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 65.

This revelation did not deter him. Instead, it became a source of empowerment. Just a year post his diagnosis, he took to social media as @theautisticdoctor to shed light on his experiences, spread awareness, and become an advocate for those with developmental disabilities, especially Autism. His courage to speak openly about his neurodivergent identity, especially as a senior citizen in India, has resonated with many across the globe.

In a country like India, where mental health topics are still shrouded in stigma, Dr. Ajay's advocacy is not just brave but revolutionary. Every post, every word, every story he shares breaks down barriers and builds bridges of understanding.

Now, Dr. Ajay revels in an "unmasked" life back in his Mangalore home. Each day is a journey of self-discovery, unlearning societal norms, and re-embracing his authentic self.

The Deboor family's journey with neurodivergence doesn't end with Dr. Ajay. His son Aalap and daughter-in-law Aditi, both of whom discovered their neurodivergence in 2022, are the force behind 'Much Much Spectrum.' This loving family's collective mission? To churn out content that paves the path for true inclusion.

The tale of Dr. Ajay and his family is a testament to the fact that self-awareness knows no age. It's also a gentle reminder that if someone in your family is autistic, there might be a chance you are too.

Join us in welcoming Dr. Ajay to our community. Together, we look forward to making the world a more inclusive and understanding place.
